What Gimmick Ads provides
Gimmick Ads is an informational directory of unusual advertising marketplaces. We organize publicly available information such as publisher names, descriptions, favicons, Open Graph images, advertised prices, reported figures, purchase links, availability, and links to public analytics dashboards.
Inclusion in the directory remains editorial and is not purchased. The default directory rank is affected by clearly disclosed paid listing boosts, while alternative sorts such as popularity and price remain available. Sponsor cards are separate from directory listings. Inclusion, rank, popularity, status, or a public-stats label is not an endorsement, certification, audit, or promise of quality.
Directory information and third-party sites
Prices, availability, revenue, bids, bidder counts, traffic, and other figures may change at any time. “Last seen” and “reported” mean only that the information was publicly displayed or supplied when observed. A “public stats” label means we found a publicly accessible dashboard URL; it does not mean we verified the underlying measurements. Public listing click counts represent outbound link actions recorded by Gimmick Ads after basic bot and rapid-repeat filtering. They are best-effort aggregate counts, not audited unique visitors, impressions, customers, or completed purchases. Counts may be delayed, reset, corrected, or affected by browser, network, and filtering behavior.
Transactions with listed marketplaces occur on third-party sites under their own terms and privacy practices. Gimmick Ads is not a party to those transactions and is not responsible for third-party products, claims, payments, refunds, security, availability, or results. Verify current terms directly with the publisher before buying.
Listing boosts and paid rank
A listing boost is a one-time payment that increases a listing’s active boost total for 30 days after payment confirmation. Each payment has its own 30-day term, so a listing’s total may decrease in stages as individual payments expire. The default directory rank sorts active boost totals from highest to lowest. Equal paid totals are ordered by the earliest still-active boost and then the directory’s organic tie-breakers. Listings with no active boost are ordered using those organic tie-breakers.
The amount entered is the requested new active boost total. If a listing already has an active total, checkout charges only the difference shown. The interface estimates the rank supported by that total, but positions are not reserved during checkout. Final rank is assigned after payment is confirmed and can change immediately as other boosts are paid, refunded, disputed, or expire.
Anyone may boost an active listing. A boost does not claim ownership, grant editing rights, create an endorsement, or guarantee a fixed rank, duration at a particular position, traffic, clicks, customers, revenue, or any other result. Boosts do not change listing metadata, status, public-stats links, or editorial eligibility.
Sponsorship placements
A sponsorship purchase buys one clearly labeled, equal-size sponsor card in the homepage sponsor area for the fixed duration and price shown at checkout. Current options are 72 hours, 7 days, and 14 days. No particular card order or position is promised.
Entering a destination or opening Stripe Checkout does not reserve inventory. A run begins only after payment is confirmed, the destination passes review, and the card is published. If inventory changes before publication, we may schedule the next available run or refund the purchase. The purchased duration starts when the card goes live, not when checkout is completed.
We ordinarily build the card from the destination’s public favicon, name, title, and description. We may separate a brand name from its title and may crop, truncate, format, or make reasonable editorial changes so the card fits the service. Contact us promptly if the imported content is materially inaccurate.
A sponsorship does not guarantee impressions, clicks, customers, revenue, search ranking, a minimum traffic level, or any other result. Countdown text is a convenience; our recorded start and end times control the purchased term. Sponsorships are one-time purchases and do not renew automatically unless checkout expressly says otherwise.
Payments, taxes, and refunds
Payments are handled by Stripe. Payment-card and billing details are submitted directly to Stripe; Gimmick Ads receives transaction, customer, payment-status, and limited billing information needed to provide the purchase and keep business records. We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers. The price and currency shown at checkout control the purchase, and applicable taxes may be added.
If we reject a sponsor before it is published, the payment will be refunded. Once a compliant sponsor placement is live, the digital service has begun and the payment is final except where required by law or where we fail to provide the purchased duration. Lower-than-expected traffic, clicks, or results do not create a refund right.
Listing boosts begin as soon as payment is confirmed and are final except where required by law or where we make a duplicate or technical charge in error. Being outranked, receiving fewer visits than hoped, expiration after 30 days, or a later change in the directory does not create a refund right. A refund, reversal, or payment dispute removes the affected amount from the active boost total.
We may suspend a paid benefit while a payment is pending, reversed, disputed, or reasonably suspected of fraud. Nothing in this section limits a refund or cancellation right that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Paid placement eligibility and content
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. If purchasing for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it. You may sponsor only a destination you own or are authorized to represent. A listing boost may be purchased for any eligible directory listing and does not represent ownership of that listing.
You confirm that your destination and claims are lawful, accurate, non-deceptive, and do not infringe another person’s intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights. We may reject or remove malware, phishing, scams, impersonation, illegal content, hate or harassment, adult content, deceptive financial schemes, unlicensed regulated offers, or anything that creates legal, security, or reputational risk.
Listing-update requests
You may submit a request to correct a listing. You must provide accurate information, identify your relationship to the listing, and include supporting information when reasonably available. Submitting a request does not guarantee that we will accept it, publish it, or complete it within a particular time. We may verify the request against public sources and contact the supplied email address for clarification.
Public metadata and license
We may retrieve publicly available titles, descriptions, canonical URLs, favicons, logos, and Open Graph images to identify and describe a listed or sponsored destination. Names and marks remain the property of their owners and are used only to identify the relevant destination.
If you submit information or purchase a sponsor placement, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to retrieve, cache, resize, format, reproduce, and display that public metadata as needed to operate and promote Gimmick Ads and to provide the placement. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to grant this license. You may request a correction or takedown by emailing us.
Moderation, corrections, and removal
We may correct, recategorize, refuse, hide, or remove directory or sponsor content where information is inaccurate, a destination is unavailable, these Terms may have been breached, or a rights holder or authority raises a credible complaint. Removal of a sponsor for a breach does not create a refund right.
Directory inclusion is editorial and may change independently of a boost. We may suspend or remove a listing that becomes unavailable, unsafe, unlawful, or outside the directory’s scope. Where our action prevents delivery of a paid service and was not caused by your breach, we may provide a replacement run, service credit, or refund for the undelivered portion as appropriate.
A rights notice should identify you, the Gimmick Ads page, the destination, the right involved, and why you are authorized to act. We may share the notice with the relevant publisher or sponsor when appropriate.
Acceptable use
Do not interfere with the service, bypass rate limits or access controls, submit malicious code, manipulate reported clicks or statistics, attempt to falsify payment or rank state, impersonate others, or use automated access in a way that degrades the service or violates law. Ordinary browsing and responsible linking are permitted.
Availability and disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the directory, metadata, rankings, prices, links, statistics, or availability labels are complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Otherwise, Gimmick Ads is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, third-party purchases, or decisions made using directory information. Our aggregate liability arising from a paid sponsorship or listing boost will not exceed the amount paid for the placement giving rise to the claim.
Changes and general terms
We may update the service and these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by a new date on this page. Terms in effect when a sponsorship or listing boost is purchased will continue to govern that purchase unless a change is required by law or needed to address security or abuse.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You and Gimmick Ads consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware for disputes arising from these Terms or the service.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the checkout details shown for a purchase form the agreement between you and Gimmick Ads concerning the service.
